Harry Williams was a groom living in Rearsby, who volunteered in 1914 and died of illness at Woolworth on 18th December the same year. Not typical of the mostly young conscripts, he was 54 at the time of his death. His son was born posthumously in September 1915.

Second World War

Frederich George Woodcock 2nd Bn. The Monmouthshire Regiment aged 35 years old. Killed in the Reichswald, near Kleve on 11th February 1945.
